Ayuda a la familia Chimaras Morillo

Somos una familia venezolana , que decidió emigrar a España en Enero de 2020, empujados por la situación política y económica de nuestro país, con nuestra mayor motivación; darles una mejor educación y futuro a nuestros hijos Sofía (9 años) y Alejandro (4 años).

Al poco tiempo de llegar, comenzó la terrible pandemia que hizo que todo el proceso de papeleo y trámites quedara congelado, dejándonos en una situación difícil y en incertidumbre total en cuanto a estatus migratorio, ya que no teníamos permiso de trabajo ni posibilidad de conseguir empleo o comenzar un negocio.

Alejandro pudo apenas comenzar a trabajar en Septiembre de 2021 con una compañía de testeo de software, bajo un contrato de asesor externo, remunerado según las horas trabajadas.

Lamentablemente la enfermedad tocó nuestra puerta y la familia contrajo el tan temido Covid 19. Alejandro fue el más afectado de todos. Desde el 15 de diciembre fue ingresado al hospital por neumonía en el pulmón derecho, la cual se fue complicando a través de los días, requiriendo finalmente su traslado a la UCI para ser intubado y conectado a una ECMO.

Su situación es bastante delicada y los médicos pronostican que podría tomar meses en UCI y luego meses de recuperación para superar la afección en sus pulmones.

Hemos acudido a la empresa donde trabaja Alejandro y, aunque han entendido la situación, plantean que no pueden continuar con el pago de honorarios, pues su contrato es como externo. La seguridad social es otro asunto complicado, al no ser españoles y tener menos de un año cotizando.

Como consecuencia de toda esta situación tenemos una cantidad de compromisos económicos y no proyectamos aún una salida.

Por ese motivo acudimos a la solidaridad de nuestros amigos y familiares, para poder sostenernos durante estos duros momentos, mientras Alejandro sale del hospital, y Grecia consigue empleo para sacar adelante a sus niños.

De antemano muchísimas gracias por todo el apoyo que nos brindan, en este mundo donde cada vez más entendemos que somos codependientes los unos de los otros.

Solo esperamos que Dios nos dé fortaleza y vida para retribuir tantas muestras de generosidad y poder ser canal de luz y apoyo a muchas personas en un futuro cercano.

We are a Venezuelan family who immigrated to Spain in January 2020 due to the political and economic situation of our country. Our biggest motivation was to give a better life to our children Sofia, who’s 9, and Alejandro, who’s 4.
Shortly after arriving, the terrible pandemic began, which caused the entire paperwork process to be frozen, leaving us in a difficult situation and in total uncertainty regarding immigration status, since we did not have a work permit or the possibility of finding a job or starting a business.
Alejandro was only just able to start working in September 2021 with a software testing company, under an external consultant contract, where he was paid hourly.
Unfortunately, our family contracted the dreaded Covid-19.
Alejandro has the most affected out of all of us. Since December 15th, he was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia in the right lung, which became more complicated over the days, which has led to him finally being transferred to the ICU to be intubated and connected to an ECMO.
His situation and stability is very delicate and doctors predict that it could take months in the ICU and then months of recovery to overcome the condition of his lungs.
We have gone to the company where Alejandro works and, although they have been understanding of the situation, they state that they cannot continue with help with medical bills, since their contract is external. Social security is another complicated matter since we are not Spanish and have been living in Spain for less than a year.
As a consequence of all this situation, we have a number of financial commitments and we do not see a way out of it.

For this reason we turn to the solidarity from our friends and family, to be able to support us during these hard times, while Alejandro finally leaves the hospital, and Grecia gets a job to raise their children.

We only hope that God gives us strength and life to return so many shows of generosity and to be a channel of light and support to many people in the near future.
